The Traveling Wilburys

The Album Show presents the music of the iconic supergroup THE TRAVELLING WILBURYS, as well as performing selection from the songwriting catalogues of Wilbury icons, Bob Dylan, Roy Orbison, George Harrison, Jeff Lynne and Tom Petty.

The Travelling Wilburys are a unique and important chapter in the evolution of classic pop. Formed in the mid 80’s and flying in the face of the fashion of the synth driven pop of the time, it embraced the talents of these important artist whose careers dated back to the 50’s to create a body of work that resonated with the public and some would say helped change the direction of pop to a more organic style leading into the 90’s, and beyond.
